Trinity Metro bus riders on select routes will encounter detours this weekend due to the 2026 Cowtown Marathon. Please anticipate delays in service throughout the event time period.

Trinity Metro and their regional transportation partners will implement new regional fares including regional customers of Trinity Railway Express (TRE) between Fort Worth and Downtown Dallas beginning Sunday, March 1, 2026. Regional fares have been updated to create a more consistent pricing structure across partner agencies. The regional regular one-day ticket price has been lowered; regional reduced fares have been adjusted as part of the overall realignment. These updates ensure long-term consistency and sustainability in regional pricing.

Customers will continue to enjoy reliable service connecting Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton County and communities across the DFW metroplex; providing a convenient alternative to traffic congestion and parking costs throughout North Texas.

New Regional Fares (Effective March 1, 2026):

• One-Day Ticket: $9
• Monthly Ticket: $192

New Reduced Regional Fares:

• One-Day Ticket: $4.50
• Monthly Ticket: $96

Reduced fare day passes will be adjusted to $4.50. Reduced fare passes are set at 50% of the regular fare, and the March 1 changes reflect that standard.

To purchase a reduced fare, customers must present valid identification and be ages 5–19, age 65 or older, a person with a disability, or a Medicare card holder.

March 1 Game Day Train to Victory Station

To coincide with the fare change, Trinity Metro will operate a special game day TRE train on Sunday, March 1. The train will depart Fort Worth T&P Station at 4:30 p.m. and arrive at Victory Station at 5:30 p.m., making all regular station stops along the route. Victory Station will serve as the final stop. The train will not continue east to EBJ Union Station in Dallas.

Customers boarding in Fort Worth or elsewhere in Tarrant County will need to purchase the new $9 regional one-day ticket. Customers boarding at CentrePort Station or any station east of CentrePort (the fare zone boundary) will pay the DART Local one-day fare of $6.

The regional fare structure is part of a partnership between Trinity Metro, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), and Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA). Together, the three agencies connect Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton County and communities in between allowing customers to travel seamlessly across three transit systems using one coordinated regional fare. This integrated approach strengthens regional mobility and expands access to jobs, education, healthcare, entertainment and other key destinations, broadening opportunity throughout North Texas.

Trinity Metro will offer free rides for voting on all local services on Tuesday, March 3. Customers who are riding to or from the polls are eligible for free rides on Trinity Metro buses, Trinity Metro On-Demand rideshare services (including paratransit) and Trinity Metro TEXRail. Free rides also include Trinity Railway Express stations in Tarrant County, including CentrePort.

To obtain a free ride, customers should notify their driver or train conductor that they are traveling to or from a voting location. Check the list of voting locations to find your best option.

Trinity Metro is operating select services today, Sunday, Jan. 25. Extreme cold temperatures and winter weather across the region continue to create hazardous travel conditions. Extended exposure to extreme cold may present safety concerns for customers waiting outdoors and for team members working in the field.

Service decisions are based on safety considerations, roadway accessibility and reflect a careful balance between maintaining mobility and minimizing risk for customers and team members.

The following services are operating today:

• TEXRail, operating on an hourly schedule. The hourly schedule is available HERE.
• On-Demand paratransit, operating on a limited schedule for life-sustaining service.
• Customer Service is available today until 5 p.m. for transportation assistance and the most current service information.

Trinity Metro Bus service is not operating today due to road conditions.

Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and TRE Link are not operating, as these services do not normally operate on Sundays.

Trinity Metro Service Advisory – Weather Impacts

Inclement weather is beginning to impact and delay Trinity Metro services and is expected to continue affecting operations now and for the foreseeable future. Customers should plan ahead and anticipate service delays.

Current service impacts include:

• TEXRail is operating on an hourly service schedule.
• Trinity Metro Bus: Some routes have transitioned to Ice Routes due to roadway conditions.
• Trinity Metro On-Demand and Paratransit services are operating on a normal schedule at this time.

Trinity Metro teams are closely monitoring weather and road conditions and will continue to adjust service as conditions change, with the safety of our customers and team members as our top priority.

Customers who require assistance may contact Trinity Metro Customer Support at 817.215.8600 until 8 p.m. this evening and on Sunday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

• Allow extra time and plan for possible delays 
• Watch for temporary stop changes and detours
