There are plenty of places to go and things to do when you ride our Fort Worth bus routes and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE).  Plan your trip on transit to these spring activities.

 

SPRING FESTIVALS

Fort Worth’s most famous festival kicks off next week and we’re happy to navigate the traffic and parking for you! Look for downtown bus routes that go through our Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) – it’s just 2 blocks away from the festival.

 

Coming from outside Fort Worth? Climb aboard the TRE. TRE will operate on a normal schedule on 4/19, 4/20 and 4/21 with special Sunday service in operation on 4/22.

 

 

Fortress Festival is ready to celebrate it’s 2ndyear in Fort Worth. Buy your tickets today to see great music in the Cultural District along bus route 2. Route 2 runs up to every 15 minutes, 7 days a week!

4/13/18 – Opera for Everyone at the Kimbell Art Museum is along bus route 2.

 

4/14/18 – Cliburn Concerts – Hannah Lash at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth along bus route 2.

 

4/22/18 – Ride bus routes 1, 5a or 25 to see the Toty and Andy Clown Showon the 3rd floor of El Mercado at La Gran Plaza Shopping Center.

 

Fort Worth’s Near Southside is keeping busy this month.  Bus route 1, bus route 4 and bus route 6 are all great routes to the area.

• 4/15/18 – Open Streets (special note: Route 4 will have a small detour due to road closures for the event)

 

Hop on board Molly the Trolley!  Our fare free trolley circulates downtown 7 days a week and stops right at Bass Performance Hall.  Enjoy a ride to these great shows:

Fort Worth Main St. Arts Festival is 4/19/18 through 4/22/18.  Plan your trip on the TRE or any of our buses that travel through the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC). TRE will be in service throughout the festival, including Sunday 4/22/18.

It’s the 2nd year for Fortress Festival in Fort Worth on 4/28/18 and 4/29/18.  Featuring artists Father John Misty, Chromeo and De La Soul, you can get there easily on bus route 2 to the Cultural District.

Spring Break is here and there is plenty to do when you ride our Fort Worth bus routes and the Trinity Railway Express.  Climb on board the bus or train for all the fun!

 

Safari Express is on the road beginning Saturday 3/10/18 with direct service from downtown at the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) to the Fort Worth Zoo.  The express route picks up and drops off every 30 minutes during zoo hours through 3/18/18.

 

Spring Break activities at Reunion Tower in Dallas are a short TRE ride away.  Ride from any TRE station to Union StationDallas Zoo Animal Adventures, the Dallas Public Library and even BINGO are included in the week’s festivities.

 

3/15/18 through 3/18/18 – Make your summer dreams a reality when you ride bus routes 2 or 7 to the Will Rogers Memorial Center for the Fort Worth Boat Show.

 

3/17/18 – There is no better St. Patrick’s Day celebration than Cowtown Goes Green at the Fort Worth Stockyards.  Catch bus route 15 every fifteen minutes from downtown to Main and Exchange.

 

3/18/18 – Trinity Habitat For Humanity “Blitz Build” kicks off on the Sundance Square Plaza along the Molly the Trolley route.

1/12/18 – The annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo kicks off at Will Rogers Memorial Center and runs through 2/3/18.  Ride on over on bus routes 2 or 7.

1/12/18 – 1/14/18 – The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra performs Nights in the Gardens of Spain at Bass Performance Hall along the Molly the Trolley route.

1/14/18 – The Fort Worth Stockyards is hosting The Holistic Fair at Billy Bob’s Texas.  Bus route 15 will take you there with service between downtown Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Stockyards every 15 minutes.

1/17/18 – 1/21/18 – Performing Arts Fort Worth presents Something Rotten! at Bass Performance Hall along the Molly the Trolley route.

Visit The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth for Figures from the Collection through 1/28/18 on bus routes 2 or 7.

Take bus routes 2, 26, 27 or 91 to see all the sights at SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium now open in Ridgmar Mall.

The Trinity Railway Express is the best way to enjoy events at the American Airlines Center.  Ride to Victory Station and you are there.  Coming up the Mavericks are hosting the Lakers, Wizards and Rockets.  And the Avalanche, Panthers and Maple Leafs are all visiting the StarsKaty Perry takes the stage on 1/14/18.

The Nutcracker continues at Bass Hall along the Molly the Trolley route.

12/9/17 – Visit Fort Worth’s #1 handmade holiday shopping destination by riding bus routes 2 or 7 to Will Rogers Memorial Center for the Cowtown Indie Bazaar.

Parade of Lights attendees can ride the bus or train

To make it easy for everyone to get to the Parade of Lights, the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (FWTA) will offer expanded bus service on Route 7, beginning at 3:15 p.m., between Farrington Field and FWTA’s Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC). The parade begins at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in downtown Fort Worth.

For parade attendees parking at Farrington Field, FWTA will pick up every 15 minutes from the Route 7 bus stop on West Lancaster and University with service between Farrington Field and ITC. The last Route 7 bus going back to Farrington Field will depart from the ITC at 10 p.m. There is no charge to park at Farrington Field.

Bus Routes 2, 4, 6, 10 and The Spur* will operate normal service schedules with one added trip from the ITC at 8:15 p.m.

Other bus routes to travel to and from downtown include Routes 1, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 46. These routes will all operate normal service schedules.

The downtown Molly the Trolley circulator will end operation at 4 p.m. due to street closures and will resume a regular service schedule at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 20.

Roundtrip bus fare is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for reduced fare.

For visitors traveling from the east, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will have a special Sunday service for the parade. Trains departing from Dallas Union Station West to Fort Worth at 1:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. Trains departing from Fort Worth T&P Station East to Dallas at 2:50 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.

Roundtrip TRE fare for travelers departing from T&P Station, ITC, Richland Hills Station, Bell Station or CentrePort Station is $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for reduced fare.  Roundtrip TRE fare for travelers departing from West Irving Station, Downtown Irving Station, Medical Market Station, Victory Station or Union Station is $10.00 for adults and $2.50 for reduced fare. Traveling in both Tarrant and Dallas Counties will require a regional fare.

Local Day Passes are sold for $5 and include unlimited rides on FWTA buses and TRE train service in Tarrant County.

Regional Day Passes are sold for $10 and included unlimited rides on services in Tarrant, Dallas and Denton Counties.
